Dog toys
Play is not a luxury for a dog: it is a physiological and behavioral need. An insufficiently stimulated dog quickly develops anxiety, destructive behaviors, or compensatory overeating. The well-chosen toy structures daily activity, channels energy, strengthens the owner-dog bond, and preserves household items.
Saint Laurent selects dog toys designed for intensive use, the same standards applied to enrichment toys for our zoo clients. Resistance to teeth, quality of materials (natural rubber, braided ropes, food-safe plastics), and the absence of dangerous detachable parts are the primary selection criteria.
Chew toys
Chewing soothes the dog, maintains its dental health, and releases endorphins. Our range includes chew bones, knotted ropes, rubber rings, and refillable toys (like Kong) that extend the fun with treats or pâté. For dogs that are heavy chewers or have powerful jaws (mastiffs, shepherds, terriers), we offer specifically reinforced products.
Balls and throwing toys
Reinforced tennis balls, bouncy rubber balls, soft frisbees: these accessories are essential for outdoor exercise sessions, fun recall, and agility work. We select sizes suitable for all body types, from puppy to large dog, to prevent any risk of ingestion or choking.
Games of intelligence and engagement
The intelligence games require problem-solving: digging mats, rolling dispensers, secret boxes, compartment puzzles. Essential for primitive or working breed dogs (huskies, malinois, border collies) who need to engage their mental capacity beyond simple physical exercise. Also recommended to slow down the feeding of greedy dogs.
Aussie Dog brand and specialist manufacturers
Saint Laurent is a partner of Aussie Dog, a globally recognized Australian manufacturer of environmental enrichment toys, originally designed for zoos (wolves, bears, big cats) and then adapted for domestic dogs. This lineage ensures a level of robustness rarely matched in the consumer market.
Choosing the right toy: our tips
Adjust the size to the jaw (never a toy that can be swallowed whole), vary the textures (soft, hard, noisy, chewable, shakeable) to avoid boredom, and monitor wear: a damaged toy becomes a risk of ingestion. For dogs with destructive tendencies, rotate 3-4 toys weekly instead of leaving everything available all the time.
Combining nutrition and stimulation
A physically and mentally stimulated dog has a better regulated appetite and improved digestion. Pair this section with our dog food and our dog & cat equipment to create a complete environment tailored to your companion.
