Migratory locusts are very hardy; in winter they tolerate cold better than house crickets. To keep your insects alive as long as possible, we recommend feeding them with the following: grass, wheat sprouts (locust grass), wheat bran, and apple slices. When provided with this type of food, they do not need additional water, as it is already contained in the food. We also recommend setting up a large container with egg cartons to house your locusts. In these conditions, and when well fed, they will live longer while improving their nutritional value.
